MACON, GA - Frank Thomas Holcomb, 78, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 3P.M. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service or may be contacted at the residence of Margaret Ann Thornton or James Michael Holcomb. In the lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bradley Baptist Church, Building Fund, 821 Monticello Highway, Gray, GA 31032.
Mr. Holcomb was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Frank V. and Sarah Brown Holcomb. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Howard Holcomb and two brothers. Mr. Holcomb was a member of Bradley Baptist Church in Bradley Georgia. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and worked for the Macon Police Department and the U.S. Marshal's office. -He is survived by his two sons, Michael Thomas Holcomb of Savannah, and James Michael Holcomb of Fort Valley; cousin, Margaret (Ed) Thornton of Gray; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
