Frances T. Garner

Frances Thompson Garner, 89, entered into rest on Monday, February 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00, on Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Beth Dunwoody officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 277 MLK Jr. Blvd. W. Suite 101, Macon, GA 31201.

Mrs. Garner was the widow of Howard Garner and the daughter of the late Carrie Fountain Thompson and Josh Thompson. She was born in Macon and was a member of Houston Avenue Christian Church. Mrs. Garner retired from Robins Air Force Base, where she worked as a clerk in the finance office. She enjoyed traveling with the 39ers, shopping and walking at the Wellness Center. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to United Hospice for their loving care.

Mrs. Garner is survived by her children: Carolyn (Ray “Goat”) Cauley of Macon, Ronnie (Trudie) Garner of Lizella, Sidney (Laurie) Garner of Jefferson, Cheryl Jones and Louie Garner of Warner Robins; seventeen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
