Frances Carlisle McKinley, 90, left this world for her Heavenly home on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Bolingreen Health & Rehabilitation. She was surrounded by her family. Services will be held on Monday September 19th at 3 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park & Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the chapel. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Glenwood Hills Baptist Church.
Born on October 2, 1925 she was a lifelong resident of Macon and a member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church. Though the memories she leaves behind are many, she will be mostly remembered for her cooking, crocheting, and her often inappropriate jokes. Like she always said, she loved to make people laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband- Roy McKinley, parents- Lewis and Nellie Carlisle, sister- Dorothy Summers, and great granddaughter- Harley Lumpkin.
Survivors include her children- Bob (Carol) McKinley of Macon, Becky (Greg) Burns of Macon, and Jimmy (Wanda) McKinley of Warner Robins; grandchildren- Trissi Philmon, Robby (Deanna) McKinley, Melissa (Chad) Cauley, Kristi (Robert) Lumpkin, Haley (Mark) Strandburg, Jennifer (Ryan) Simpson; and great grandchildren- Caleigh, Dakota, Luke, Riley, Payton, Parker, Kinley, Preston, Evan, Kady and Ruby Kate (due January 2017); sister- Lois Carter and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to especially thank the entire staff of Bolingreen Health & Rehabilitation for the care and compassion shown to her and the entire family.
“She had fire in her soul and grace in her heart.”
