Faye Brown Hayes, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2021. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K. St. N.W., Suite#200, Washington DC. 20037. The service will be available on www.maconmp.com through Facebook Live. Everyone attending the service is required to wear face masks and follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19.
Faye was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Hugh Dorsey Brown and Velma B. Maxwell. Faye was a member of Bradley Baptist Church and was retired from Hayes Architects. She loved to host family gatherings, shopping, gardening, and cooking. She had a kind heart and a smile for everyone. Faye was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Hayes; son, Lee Hayes (Amy); grandchildren, Hannah and Madison Hayes; sister, Sandra Tucker (Fred); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Karlee Dawn Hayes and sister, Kaye Hiett.
