Eugene B. Johnson

Eugene B. Johnson, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Pine Pointe Hospice. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 11 a.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with the Rev. John Irwin, Rev. Ron Holland and Rev. Charles Cleary officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, January 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210 or Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Gene was born in Ashford, Alabama to the late Willie Seaborn and Etta Silcox Johnson. He retired after 44 years from Robins AFB, as supervisor of the electronic division. Gene was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Northway Church, Exchange Club of Macon, Post 3 American Legion, Macon Masonic Mabel Lodge, Al Sihah Shrine Temple, Masonic Jesters, and Aero Flying Club. Gene transported children to Shriners Hospital in Greenville.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Hodges Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Jeffrey Pasqualini of Atlanta; grandson, John-William Eugene Pasqualini of Atlanta; sisters, Glenda (Jack) White of Quincy, FL, Marilyn Waller of Dothan, AL, Imogene Addison of Ashford, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
