Eschol Leonard Jones Jr.

Eschol Leonard Jones, Jr. 78 ("Big Daddy"), passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Oxford officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Leonard was born in Bibb County to the late Eschol Leonard Jones, Sr. and Florence Land Jones. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Hopson. He retired from IBEW as an electrician. Leonard was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Leonard was a loving and devoted husband.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley Clance Jones ("Nana"). Also, two sons, Len (Brenda) Jones, and Mark (Brenda) Jones, son-in-law, Ricky Hopson, grandchildren, Wesley (Kristen) Jones and Zac Jones, Jonathan Jones, Leon (Elissa) Jones, Derby (Doug) Chandler, Lauren (Britt) Holloway, Stephanie (Craig) Salvati, great-grandchildren, Elijah, Elena, Aubrie, Zayden, Steven, Bryce, Penelope, and Maddox and brother, Jimmy (Martha Lee) Jones and several nieces and nephews.
