Emily Rogers Garrison

Emily Rogers Garrison, 98, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church Chapel, Clearwater, FL with the Rev. Bob Scott and the Rev. Dr. Kathryn McLean officiating. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

Mrs. Garrison, wife of the late Rev. Kenneth Lloyd Garrison, was born in Scranton, PA the daughter of the late William and Mary Thomas Rogers. She had lived in Clearwater, FL before recently moving to Macon, GA. and was retired from John Hancock Insurance Company, Boston, MA. Mrs. Garrison was a dedicated “Baptist Preacher’s wife” and supported her husband as he served in the Ministry for many years. She was a member of Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, Clearwater, FL. Mrs. Garrison was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Lloyd Garrison and her great grandchild, Skyler Krigbaum.

Survivors include those she loved most, her daughter, Diane Spires of Macon; her grandchildren, Kenneth (Raquel) Anthony and Tara (Mark) Krigbaum; her great grandchildren, Logan Krigbaum, Bianca Anthony and Cody Anthony.
