Dorothy Elizabeth “Betty” Davis Yarbrough, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 29, 2012 after complications from surgery. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Magoni and Rev. Jim Duggan officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Woodfin “Mac” and Dorothy Viviette Davis. She was an honor graduate of the class of 1964 from A.L. Miller High School and graduate of Macon State College. Mrs. Yarbrough was a long time member of Bethesda Baptist Church where she taught Training Union and was retired from Bellsouth. She was an avid photographer and enjoyed genealogy. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by those she loved the most, her husband of forty eighty years, William E. Yarbrough, Jr. of Macon, son, William A. “Tony” Yarbrough (Lynn) of Perry, daughter, Nina Elizabeth Yarbrough Menchew (Heath) of Macon, grandchildren, Chasyn Yarbrough of Fort Bragg, NC, Hanin Menchew of Macon, Chanse Yarbrough of Fairhope, AL, Heather Menchew of Macon, Tommy Stimus (Sami) of Perry, Burton Stimus and Victor Stimus of Perry, brother, Jimmy Davis (Jan) and sister, Patty Peterman (Jack) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
