Eleanor M. Meeks Wright

Eleanor Meeks Wright, 74, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Bishop Tim Kelly will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wright, daughter of the late Homer Clyde and Annie Grace Fountain Meeks, was born in Forsyth and attended Gateway Fellowship Church of God. She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Lewis Wright in 1974, by her brothers, Homer Carl Meeks, Robert Nathaniel Meeks and John Wesley Meeks and by her sisters, Kathryn Tribble and Alma (Patsy) Smith. Mrs. Wright was a devoted homemaker who loved and adored her family.

Survivors include those she loved most, her husband, Frank Lewis Wright, Macon; her daughters Barbara Wright Willis whose husband is Ralph Willis of Sumner, GA and Donna F. Byrd whose husband is Sidney Wayne Byrd of Macon; her grandson, Keaton Byrd; her sister, Mildred Wilson of Forsyth and several nieces and nephews.
