Macon-Eldon Turner, 66, passed away Saturday, at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 2:0O PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Grinsted will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM till service time. Mr. Turner was born in Pine Mountain, Ky to the late Alice Boggs Turner and Otis Turner. He was a retired Group Leader from Brown & Williamson Corporation in 2001. Mr. Turner was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife: Faye Turner of Macon; two sons: Scott (Angela) Turner of Barnesville and Jeff Turner of Seattle, Washington; three granddaughters: Wimberly Rachel Turner, Mary Lindsay Turner and Sara Frances Turner all of Barnesville, Georgia; three brothers: Coburn Turner of Bledsoe, Kentucky, Clayton Turner of Dayton, Ohio, and Lonnie Turner of Cape Town, South Africa; two sisters: Opal Mullins of LaGrange, Kentucky and Audrey Bargo of Harlan, Kentucky.
