Edward Ray Miller, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 30, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Kevin Moore will officiate. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Ray was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Guy Everett and Nellie Gilland Miller. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Miller and two brothers, Roy Miller and Mike Miller. He was retired from Sidney Lee Welding and was a member of Peachtree Baptist Church in Byron. Ray was a hardworking man who could fix anything. His pride and joy was his beloved dog “Precious”. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel L. Miller of Byron, children, Chad (Brandee) Miller, Lawanda (Jon) Collier, grandchildren, Cassidy (Dylan) Busbin, Abbygael Collier, Evan Collier, Aubree Miller (Brandi Gabriel), Caden Miller, siblings, Gerry (Vernon) Glenn, Janet Bowden, and Sadie Bledsoe and several nieces and nephews.
