Edward was born in Empire, Georgia to the late Otha Benjamin and Alma Louise Dunn Batts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Batts, two brothers, Bobby Batts and James Batts. Edward was a retired plumber. He was a devoted and loving father, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Greg) Rickman of Milledgeville and dog, Pearl.
