Macon, GA – Edna Allen Davis, 93, passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after serving Him faithfully all her life. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Morris officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Ave. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon GA 31201 or The Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon GA 31201.
Mrs. Davis was born in Lizella, Georgia to the late Lizzie and J.W. Allen, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Davis, sister, Marie Allen, three brothers, Sidney (Eldora) Allen, W. O. Allen and Arthur N. Allen. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend and will be sorely missed by all.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jean Estes of Macon, son, James Paul (Sylvia) Davis of Lizella, grandchildren; Renee (Mike) Thornton of Macon, Donny (Bonnie) Wingers of Macon, Melanie (Joey) Brown of Lizella, John Paul (Tori) Davis of Moore, SC, great grandchildren; Nikki Ussery, Rachel (Matt) Mosley of Macon, Tyler Brown of Lizella, Parker and Jared Davis of Moore, SC and Brittany Lindemann of Macon; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Allen of Byron and several nieces and nephews.
