Clyde, North Carolina- Douglas Fielding Elder formerly of Macon, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Clyde, North Carolina. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice., 103 West Ridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Mr. Elder was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Frank and Florence Elder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Fogarty Elder. He served in the United States Navy and was retired from Bone Maintenance on Robins Air Force Base.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Eddie) Brickle of Clyde, NC, two grandchildren, David Fielding (Kelli) Brickle of Orlando, FL, and Jennifer Brickle (Scott) Scherbing of Savannah, GA, and a great grandchild, Hailey Isabella Brickle of Orlando, FL, and a brother, Frank F. Elder of Ailey, GA.
