Dora M. Knight

Dora M. Knight, 84, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Pine Pointe Hospice Facility. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Michael Quicke will officiate. The family will meet friends from 4 – 6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home and suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210.

Mrs. Knight, daughter of the late John A. and Mabel Bodrey Woodard, was born in Cordele. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Knight and was a seamstress. Mrs. Knight was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, James A. “Gus” Jones, III of Gray; her daughters, Mary Ann Thompson of Forsyth and Linda Faye (Ahmed) Mohamed of Egypt; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, John H. (Cindy) Woodard of Cordele, Willie (Lisa) Woodard of Macon and N. E. Woodard of Milledgeville; her sister, Ruth (Rufus) Bellflower of Macon; her companion, Paul Wood of Perry; four stepchildren.
