Donna Sue Nichols Phillips, 88, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. Private graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. Mrs. Phillips was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas the daughter of the late Neta Asalee Rosson Nichols and Edgar Eugene Nichols. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Travis Phillips, Jr. and her siblings, Nick and Carl Nichols, and Irene Taylor and Agnes Davis. Mrs. Phillips was retired from the United States District Court as a Deputy Clerk and was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church for 50+ years where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her son, Steve Phillips (Diane) of Macon; daughter, Debbie Lane (Rusty) of Macon; grandchildren, Lindsay Phillips Cunningham (Derick), Jessica VanDusen (Tyler), Travis Phillips (Elizabeth), and India Reeves (Daniel); 10 great-grandchildren.
