MACON, GA—Mrs. Delia Rozier, 81, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 16 at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Neal Wall and Rev. Dr. Aubrey Sheats will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service and at the conclusion of the service as well. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bellevue Baptist Church, 5925 Price Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Mrs. Rozier, daughter of the late William Bartow and Mary Cordelia Parker Jones, was born in Macon. One of nine children, she graduated from Fort Hawkins School, and worked several years in the retail grocery industry, but the majority of her years were spent as a homemaker and housewife. Mrs. Rozier was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and the Doers and Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stanley Rozier, a daughter, Gail Marie Rozier Passmore, and a son, Michael Stanley Rozier. Mrs. Rozier had a true selfless passion for people and her Lord. She catered and cared for others by loving her church family and her own.
Surviving Mrs. Rozier are her son, Joel (Lynn) Rozier; daughter Jacquelyn (Thao) Nguyen; grandchildren, Joey Rozier, Logan Rozier (Chad Bickleman), Luke (Casey) Rozier, Landon (Mariah) Rozier, Michael (Tran) Nguyen, Matthew Nguyen, Morgan Nguyen, Mason Nguyen; great grandchildren, Dustin Rozier, Dylan Rozier, Kaylan Rozier; a very special niece, Willie Mae Melvin; and several other nieces and nephews.
