Debbie McDermon Tanner, 50, finished her journey on this earth April 12, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. and she is in the arms of her Heavenly Father and her son, Cliff McDermon. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Gatlin officiating. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home or may be contacted at the residence. Serving as Pallbearers will be Kyle Underwood, Chip Wilson, Andrew McElmurray, Robert Krogh, Donnie Ashley, Brandon Walters, Bennie Heinzelmann, Todd Tanner and Johnny Lifferty.
Debbie was born in Macon, Georgia on May 5, 1963. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Clifford McDermon.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Tanner of Macon, mother, Gerri McDermon of Macon, brother, Ricky McDermon, sister, Kathy McDermon of Macon, Sheila (Craig) Walters of Doerun, GA, brother-in-law, Tim Tanner of Bryon, sister-in-law, Judy Gordy of Gray and two best friends, Geriann Heinzelmann and Karen Hawkins.
