David Randall Harp, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Pine Pointe Hospice. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Mark Magoni will officiate. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 4256 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon 31216.
Mr. Harp was born in Philadelphia, PA, served with the U. S. Air Force and graduated from Macon State and Macon Tech. He was also a Licensed Real Estate agent. He was preceded in death by his mother Ramona Jean Clower Harp and by his son-in-law, Michael Allen Timm, Jr. Mr. Harp retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty-six years of service. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family and loved spending time with them.
Survivors include the family he adored, his wife of thirty-seven years, Theresa Smith Harp; his children, Susan Timm, Traci Harp and Matthew Harp; his beloved granddaughter, Michaela Timm; his father, Ray Harp; his sisters, Terri Johnston and Nancy (Paul) Lubeck; his father-in-law, S. K. Smith and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
