Daniel C. McKinnon, age 44, of Byron, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. His life will be celebrated at Macon Evangelistic Church, 5399 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon, GA on Saturday, September 4, with a visitation beginning at 1 o'clock, followed by services beginning at 2 o'clock, led by Rev. Gary Berrier.
Daniel was born in Macon, Georgia to Valora Jean Mackey McKinnon and the late Gene Carlton McKinnon. He worked for many years with All-State Electrical and was an avid billiards player. Daniel was a member of the Mid Georgia APA 9-Ball league. He loved sports, from playing golf, to coaching his children in baseball and softball, and was a father model to all the neighborhood children. Daniel found peace in nature and time on the water, often on the same boat his uncle captained. His deepest passion in life was his children and their success, always encouraging and motivating to strive further and dig deeper.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ashlee Nicole McKinnon, Joshua Daniel McKinnon, and Haylee Marie McKinnon; mother, Valora Jean Mull; step mother, Jana McKinnon; the mother of his children, Jami McKinnon Smith; sisters, Kimberly (Eric) Davis and Kelli (M.D.) Herrera; brother, Kevin (Lori) McKinnon; step brother, John Paul (Jennifer) Strickland; girlfriend, Christy Flanders; one very special granddaughter, Rowyn Gene McKinnon; 5 nieces; 4 nephews; Chester the Cat; and a tremendous host of friends.
