Dalaine Leigh Sandefur

On Saturday, April 2, 2022, Dalaine Leigh Sandefur, 57, drifted away into the arms of Jesus where she joined her precious mother, Wynelle Avera Sandefur and other precious family members. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplin Michael Rodgers officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Dalaine was born in Macon, Georgia on December 18, 1964. She gave unconditional love and touched many hearts. Her accomplishments were many, exceeding all expectations. She loved her family and she helped her mama and aunt Carolyn at B’S playschool for many years. Dalaine loved golf carting with her Dad and Cutie, swimming, and celebrating her birthdays at Bibb Skating Rink, traveling with her family and being the BOSS. The front seat was hers, no discussion. She had great intuition about someone needing a hug and eagerly obliged. She met no stranger. It was hard to prank her. She never turned down an invite to go out to eat and would have her pocketbook ready just in case.

Later in life, after suffering a massive stroke, she rebounded and was still as sweet as ever. She certainly enjoyed her family and life at Walden Road.

The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice who helped manage Dalaine’s care.

She is survived by her father, David Lee Sandefur of Macon; sisters, Davene “Vivian”Bohonnon of Macon, Judy (John) Ralls of Macon; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
