Connie McPherson Scarbary

Connie McPherson Scarbary “Maw Maw”, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 10, 2016, surrounded by her family. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr. Chuck McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in Doles United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday night from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3312 Northside Drive, Suite D250, Macon, 31210.

Connie was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Charles L. McPherson, Sr. and Ethel Crawford McPherson and was preceded in death by her brother, Charles L. McPherson, Jr., son-in-law, Troy Sowell, granddaughter, Alyssa Scarbary and great granddaughter, Olivia Renfroe. She was retired from the floral business and was a member of Thomaston Road Baptist Church. Connie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her husband, Paul T. Scarbary, Sr. of Macon; daughters, Kathy (Joey) Phillips of McIntyre, Paula Sowell of Gray and Vicki (Mark) Renfroe of Lizella; sons, Paul T. (Jan) Scarbary, Jr. of Evans, Dean (Terri) Scarbary of Gray and Joel Scarbary of Macon; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann McPherson; and nephew, Chuck (Ute) McPherson.
