The world lost a true "southern gentleman", Mr. Charles W. Robinson Sr., age 87, of Covington, Georgia, on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Family will greet friends at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2 until 3 o'clock, followed by a Celebration of His Life at 3 o'clock, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, led by Rev. Joe E. Williams. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Charles William Robinson, Sr. was born March 16, 1934 in Statesboro, Georgia to the late Olin Thomas and Elizabeth Bloodworth DeFore Robinson. He retired after many years of entrepreneurship, in the shoe industry, with over 70 years serving his community and maintaining a good standing with the BBB. Some of his successes included Robinson Shoes and the Shoe Shack. Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Bloodworth DeFore, his father, Olin Thomas Robinson, and a son, Kenneth Robinson.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Vicky (Ricky) James and Trina Mueller, both of Musella, Georgia; sons, Chuck (Kristie) Robinson, Jr. of Bolingbroke, Georgia, Matthew (Christy) Robinson of West End, North Carolina; significant other, Elizabeth Rivers; brother, Ed Robinson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Charles was truly blessed and will forever be missed, yet never to be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
