Carolyn Hinkle Watson, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 1, 2021. A Celebration of Her Life will be held Monday. April 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elam Memorial Gardens, Gray, GA with the Rev. John Marc Cooling and Dr. Morgan Kerr officiating. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church, P.O. Box 26848, Macon GA 31221. Face mask and social distancing are required to be in attendance.
Carolyn was born in Ellenton, SC to the late C.J. Proctor and Lillian Munns Proctor. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene Hinkle; son, Lonnie E. Hinkle; and her brother, Frank Proctor. She was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, and the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class. Carolyn was retired from Bellsouth as a clerk and a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club and was a member of the Exchangette Club. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by husband of nineteen years, William H. Watson of Macon; granddaughter, Katie Beth Hinkle Hall (Barron); step children, Karen (Mark) King, Julie (Garry) Cummings, David (Tonya) Watson, Robby (Jennifer) Watson; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Amanda, Rachel, Tyler, Heather, Benjamin, Emma, and Aubree; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Walter Proctor, Casey (Linda) Proctor both of Williston, SC; sister-in-law, Barbara Proctor; and special friend, Betty Glover.
