Carolyn Dean Meadows

Carolyn Dean Meadows, 86, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Family will greet friends on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Josh Meadows, Dr. Paul Meadows and Pastor Lawrence Robinson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Rd. Macon, Ga 31216.

Carolyn was born in February of 1937 in Vada, Georgia to the late Edna and Sam Dean. In 1957, Carolyn married the love of her life, Harvey Milton Meadows. Together they had 4 children and watched their family grow to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren over the years. Carolyn was a member of New City Church, Eastside and was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of GA as a customer service representative. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harvey Milton Meadows and her son, Randy Meadows.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her children, Dennis (Gayle) Meadows, Joy (Wayne) Shaffer and Dr. Paul Meadows; nine beloved grandchildren Joshua (Jennifer) Meadows, Jennifer (Matt) Dean, Brittney Shaffer, Kristin (Stephen) Millican, Tiffany Meadows, Makala Meadows, Tommy Meadows, Dakota (Taylour) Meadows and Austin Meadows; eleven beautiful great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Georgia Meadows; sister-in-laws, Frenchie Bowen, Genia (Hansel) Averett and Patcene Tharpe; several cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
