Carolyn M. Churchwell

MACON - Carolyn M. Churchwell, 84, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at a local nursing care facility. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M., Monday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Kelly Pritchett, Jr. will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2:00 P.M. to service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Churchwell, wife of the late Hollis Churchwell, was born in Cochran the daughter of the late Warren T. and Lena Mae Purser Meadows. She had lived in Macon most of her life and was a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Churchwell was a member of Log Cabin Baptist Church. She was the mother of the late Carlton Churchwell and the grandmother of the late Rhonda Taylor.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Carol C. (Felder) Taylor of Buford; her beloved grandchildren, Cherie T. (Greg) Huff, Bart (Amanda) Taylor, Stuart Churchwell and Brent (Kristi) Churchwell; two great granddaughters; her brother, J. W. Meadows of Macon; her sisters, Jean Tucker of Lizella, Ruth Miles of Warner Robins and Sue Statham of Macon; several nieces and nephews; and Carlton's very special friend, Laura Runyan.
