Edith Carolyn Ward Baker, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Sawyer. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mrs. Baker was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Edward and Minnie Moore Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Baker, Sr. and siblings, Barbara McBride, Betty Wood and Marvin Ward. Mrs. Baker was retired from Central Georgia Eye Center and a member of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her faithful companion of 40 years, Steve Spillers; children, Linda (Mike) Clancy, Robert (Debbie) Baker, Jr., Denise Clark, Curtis (Dean) Baker, Alesia (Randy) Lowe; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Dale (Patricia) Ward; and sister, Angie (Richard) Bates.
