Carol Wiggins Thompson, 66, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Rev. Tripp Martin officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Ave., Macon GA 31204.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Marietta, Georgia to the late Earl David and Lucille Greene Wiggins, Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl David Wiggins, III. She was a graduate of A. L. Miller High School and attended the University of Georgia with a Paralegal degree. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Vineville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, John R. Thompson of Macon, son, Lt Col Sandy Lee, USMC, and his wife Amy of Stuttgart, Germany, step-son, John Alan Thompson and his wife Cheryl, of Westchester, PA, four grandchildren, Owen and Josie Lee of Stuttgart, Germany, and Jonathan and McKenzie Thompson of Westchester, PA.
