Bobby Lee Adams, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, April 27, 2018 at home after a lengthy illness. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Wade Dawson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 2:30pm until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, 31201.
Bobby was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Bobby and Estelle Adams and was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Laverne Morrison Adams; son, Andy Gail Mercer and great granddaughter, Cassidi Lachelle Thompson. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was retired from Bibb Yarn. Bobby was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bolingbroke.
Survivors include his son, Gary (Deborah) Mercer; grandchildren, Christie (Bud) Thompson, Johnny Paul Mercer and Jason Taft (Brenda) Mercer; step-son, Shayne (Connie) Woods; four great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
