Betty Joan Wilson, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Micah Carr officiating.
Betty was born in Montgomery, AL to the late Joseph Chester and Elizabeth Frizzle Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Wilson, Jr., two daughters, Jacquelyn Hunnicutt and Judy Wilson, two granddaughters, Tiffany and Summer Hunnicutt and her great grandson, Carter Warren Daniels and two sisters, Jean Wiese and Joyce Hall. Betty was retired from Robins Air Force Base after twenty-five years of service. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was past President of Business Professional Women’s Group. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Jelaine Hunnicutt, son-in-law, Warren Hunnicutt of Macon, granddaughters, Shelley (Daniel) Faulk, Christy (Jon) Daniels and Jill (Ian) Durski, great grandchildren, Ava Daniels, Noelle Daniels, Matthew Daniels, Bailey Durski, Molly Durski, sister, Janice (Walter) Stautzenberger, and several nieces and nephews.
