Betty Jean Andrews Scott, 84, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park with Reverend Benjamin Newberry officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born May 22, 1938 in Fort Valley, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Lizzie Joyner Andrews. She retired from Suntrust Bank after 35 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Hope Sunday School class.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Scott; stepchildren, Buddy Scott, Melanie Louise Sloan, and Glynda Faye Nickleski. Her husband, Phillip W. Scott, preceded her in death, along with her sisters, Lois A. Rowell, Mary Alice Barnes, and brother, J.W. Andrews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Calvary Baptist Church, 5046 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, Georgia 31216.
Snow’s Funeral and Cremation Services at Macon Memorial Park has charge of arrangements.
