Betty Dykes Kennedy-Fisher-Thompson-Gillis-Bernard, 88, passed away on December 27, 2018. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Betty was born in Albany, Georgia to the late Thomas Alfred and Daisy Hutchinson Dykes. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard E. Kennedy, Sr., Harold Ray Fisher, Sr., Tommy Thompson, Bill Gillis, and Lawrence Bernard and two brothers, Terry Dykes and Tom Dykes. She was retired from Office of Personnel Management. Betty attended St. Peter Claver Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Pat) Kennedy of Sanford, FL, Lynn Beddingfield of Macon, George (Susan ) Fisher of Macon, Rennie Fisher of Macon, Ray (June) Fisher of Macon, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
