Betty Louise Bonner Dixon

MACON - Betty Bonner Dixon, 82, our beloved mother and granny went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 1, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Pritchard will officiate. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family may also be contacted at the home of Donna and Gary Sheffield.

Mrs. Dixon, wife of the late Billy Armstead Dixon, was born in Blackwell, GA the daughter of the late Sam and Etta Califf Bonner. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Bonner and Douglas Bonner. She had worked for Hehr Products and was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mrs. Dixon was a member of Henderson Road Baptist Church.

The family she adored will miss her greatly, her children, Wayne (Cary) Dixon and Larry Dixon, all of Macon, Gloria Miller of Griffin, Mary (Jerry) Alford of Vidalia, Sammy Dixon, and Donna (Gary) Sheffield of Gray; her beloved grandchildren, Alicia Schewe, Wesley Dixon, Ashley Dixon, Larry (Crystal) Cranford, Jr., Shannon Marie Owens, Chuck Howard, Nicole (Mike) Washington and Brittany (Shannon) Sheffield Freeman; her great grandchildren, Sydney Schewe, Cole Cranford, Gracie Cranford, Josh Howard and Becca Howard; her brothers, Billy Bonner, Sam (Sue) Bonner and James (Becky) Bonner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful staff at Pine Pointe Hospice for the care given to their mother.
