Barbara E. Bridgers

MACON – Barbara E. Bridgers, 77, was called home on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Hanson officiating. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. They may be contacted at 5526 General Harris Drive, Macon, GA 31217.

Mrs. Bridgers was preceded in death by her son, Steven Mahu Bridgers and by her parents, Noble Boyd Wallace and Nellie Myrtle Waller Wallace. She was a seamstress retired from Macon Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Countryside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Eleanor “Ellie” Baxter (Tommy) Canady, Larry Neal (Jackie) Bridgers, Valarie B. (Bobby) Simmons and Bruce (Donna) Bridgers; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
