Ann “Annie” Dean Rowland, 91, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 after an extended illness. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Chuck Morris will officiate. The family welcomes friends for visitation from 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Towson, Ruby Pope, Rosa Brown; brothers, Dudley, Arthur and Doyle Moore; husband, Albert Rowland and her daughter, Dayle Donald. Mrs. Rowland is survived by her brother, Ray Moore; her sons, Warren and Dan Rowland and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rowland was born in Bleckley County, GA on March 23, 1922 to the late Rosa and Dudley H. Moore. She and her husband, Albert, established Rowland Printing Company in Macon, GA. A dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, Mrs. Rowland served in many Christian activities including prison ministries and organizations such as Women’s Aglow. She played the drums alongside her husband who played the steel guitar at Powersville Opry.
“Miss Annie” is loved by many. She was an extraordinary woman and will be greatly missed. We love you, Momma.
