MACON - Annette Durden Arthur, 91, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 in a local nursing and rehab facility. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. James Dant will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or contributions to Highland Hills Baptist Church, 1370 Briarcliff Road, Macon, GA 31211.
Mrs. Arthur, wife of the late Clayton Walker Arthur, was a lifelong resident of Macon and the daughter of the late Carl B. Durden and Marie Durden Badman. She was a secretary retired from State Farm Insurance. Mrs. Arthur was a member of Highland Hills Baptist where she was also a member of the Friendship Sunday School. She was a very devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Clayton M. “Mike” Arthur (Frankie) of Gray; her grandchildren, Lisa Kelly (Chris) of Gray and Kevin Arthur (Amy) of Dudley; her great grandchildren, Ashley Arthur, Courtney Arthur, Christol (Troy) Clymer, Rebecca (Brandon) Upshaw; her great-great grandchildren, Natalie Clymer, Davis Upshaw; her brother, Lloyd Badman (Ernestine) of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews.
