Angela Kay Hodnett

Angi was absolutely devoted to her husband, Tim. The two married as high school sweethearts in 1973 and were inseparable throughout her life. She was a proud and loving mother to her three children and a doting grandmother to her 8 grandbabies.

Anyone that met Angi knew how fiercely supportive she was of her family and friends. She had many artistic talents including arranging flowers, decorating cakes, and styling hair. Angi often used these skills as a service to loved ones during weddings, graduations, and other celebrations. She was a gifted hairdresser and the owner/operator of the Magic Cut hair salon in Macon, GA for many years before retiring to Gordon, GA.

She is survived by her husband, James Timothy Hodnett, Sr.; son, James T. Hodnett, Jr. (Jaclyn); daughters, Katie Markham (Kim) and Crystal Wren; eight grandchildren; brother, Marshall Van Smith (Wanda); sister, Pamela Deal (Wayne).

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at Macon Memorial Park with Reverend Charles Hodnett officiating.
