Alton C. Kimsey Jr.

Alton Cornelius Kimsey Jr., 88, of Macon, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ramond Kimsey will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. till service time in the funeral home.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Alton C. Kimsey Sr. and Macy Rowena Webb Kimsey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Stephens Kimsey and Brothers, Randall Kimsey and Wayne Kimsey.

Mr. Kimsey was a partner with his son Joey in Kimsey Construction, and was still being consulted daily. He lived with his devoted grandson, Justin Kimsey, who cared for him for the past several years and enjoyed fishing, and playing his guitar. He was a giver of his time and had a major impact on many people’s lives.

He is survived by his children, Joey Kimsey(Molly), Ricky Kimsey, Elaine Evans(Richard), Buddy Kimsey, and Keith Kimsey(Tina); 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Siblings, Raymond Kimsey(Crystal), Mary Alice Keene, David Kimsey(Cathy), Joan Kilgore(Carl), Jerry Kimsey(Rose) and Linda Kimsey.
