Allie Elizabeth Wood Barfield

Allie Elizabeth Wood Barfield passed away on March 10, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barfield was born in Ailey, Georgia to the late Frank Wood, Edith Wood Bennett and step father, MC Bennett. She retired from Sears where she worked in the credit department. Mrs. Barfield loved spending time with her family, flowers and crafting. She also enjoyed working with the children at church, singing and humming. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bobby Daniel Barfield; sisters, Francis Tucker and Angela Tomberlin.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Cherie (Tony) Wynne and Rene (Allen) Yawn; grandchildren, Jennifer (Darrell) Collins, Mary (Zack) Schreer, Wesley (Karalee) Glore, Matt (Lindsay) Yawn, Justin (Emily) Yawn, and Garrett Yawn; great grandchildren, Jace Johnson, Mikayla Bryan, Logan Schreer, Connor Schreer, Brooke (Jake) Newberry, Ansley Collins, Shelby Glore, Colt Glore, Trey Bradham, Abbey Bradham, Kinsley Bradham, Nathan Gaboury, and Weston Gaboury; great-great grandchildren, Asher Newberry, Mercer Edge, Gracie Newberry and Autumn Newberry; brothers, Riley (Debra) Bennett and Mike (Tina) Bennett; sister, Ruby (Harold) Tucker; brother-in-law, Duck Tomberlin and sister-in-law, Sarah Herron; and her loving family at At Home Senior Living.
