Alice Campbell Hartley, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, August 4, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Gibbs officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:30 p.m. until the service. Alice was born in Hancock County, Georgia to the late Dorsey Lee and Tyrue Manley Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy J. Hartley, one sister and four brothers. Alice was retired from C&S Bank after thirty-four years of service. She was a member of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church for forty-eight years. Alice enjoyed gardening, sewing and reading. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was loved by all and a true example of southern grace.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy Lee Hartley (Diann), Sherry Hartley Watkins (John) and Cindy Hartley Thompson (Lin); grandchildren, Todd (Kim) Hartley, Daniel (Connie) Watkins, Lee (Katelyn) Hartley, Bryant Thompson, Caroline Grace Thompson; great grandchildren, Hunter Hartley, Haley Hartley, Dylan Hartley, Domenic Hartley, Kennedy Hartley, Rylee Hartley, Maddie Allen, Laney Watkins and Johna Watkins; five great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
