Timothy Lee Garner, age 57, of Machesney Park, Illinois passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born May 12, 1966 to Barbara (Olmstead) and Edward Garner in Belvidere, Illinois. Timothy found the love of his life almost 25 years ago in his fiancé, Tina Lonas.
Timothy loved to spend time in nature, at the park and gardening in his yard. He enjoyed taking daytrips with his family. Timothy was a great friend, he had a good sense of humor. Most of all he enjoyed being at home with his family and his dogs.
Timothy is survived by his fiancé, Tina Lonas; children, Haley (TJ) Kruger, Hannah (Tessa Cornelius) Garner, Caitlin Lonas, and Michael (Jen Rohlfing) Gettle; grandchildren, David, Delilah, and Isaak, to whom he was known as “Shiny”; siblings, Teresa (Javier) Ramirez, Michael (Astrid) Garner, and Brian (Michelle) Garner; best friend, Greg Steele; and beloved Chihuahuas, Chico and Jake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Edward Garner.

A visitation for Timothy will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Timothy will be laid to rest in Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115-2277.
