Thomas “Tom” F. Walsh, 99, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the early hours of Thursday, June 27, 2024. Tom was born August 6, 1924, to Thomas and Vivian Walsh in Rockford, Illinois. He attended St. Thomas Catholic High School of Rockford. He went on to serve his country in the United States Navy in 1941, and coming back home in 1945. He married Donna Isaak on May 27, 1950. Tom started his career with the United States Postal Service in Rockford, where he later retired. Along with the Postal Service, Tom also built many decks, and cut down many trees.
Tom loved to go fishing whenever the opportunity came. He went on many trips throughout his life from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Canada. He moved to Arkansas for a few years, and enjoyed fishing there with his wife. He and Donna were also snowbirds, and loved to go to Florida in the winter.
He is survived by his daughters, Janis (Pat) Jurgensmeier, Susan (Mike) Mead, Carrie (Jeff Johnson) Lervik; grandchildren, Patrick (Kelly) and Nathan Mead, and Kelly Jurgensmeier; great-grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Mead, and Aubrey and Alexa Alvarez; niece, Linda Reedy; sister, Pat Sheehan; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents, Thomas and Vivian; siblings, Jack Walsh, Bobby Walsh, Jim Walsh, Rosemary Haskins, and Joanne Conley.
