Thomas Q. Trosper, 88, of Loves Park, IL passed away on December 12, 2022. He was born in Gates, TN on November 15, 1934 to Ocie and Era (Edwards) Trosper. Tom married the love of his life, Norma Bryant, on March 30, 1957 and together they raised 3 wonderful children. He owned and operated Trosper Trucking for many years. Tom traveled a lot for work but remained a devoted dad and husband, never missing one of the kids’ sports games. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Tom loved puzzles and playing cards with his kids and grandchildren. He enjoyed food but most importantly he enjoyed a rhubarb pie. Tom loved being with is family and he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Jean Trosper; his children Richard (Kay) Trosper; Connie (Alan) Wilson, and Matthew (Lori) Trosper; his grandchildren, Tracy Tompkins, Tyler Trosper, Todd (Ashley) Trosper, and Brooklyne Trosper; his great-grandchildren, Savanna Tompkins and Baby Boy Trosper coming soon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie and Era Trosper; his siblings, Ocie Jr. Trosper, J.W. Trosper, Lynn Trosper, Jerry Don Trosper, Billy Trosper, Bobby Trosper, Marge Crihfield, Dorothy Grear, and Corky Trosper.
There will be a private family burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Tom’s name to the American Heart Association.
