Thomas N Pellant

Thomas Neil Pellant, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Rockford, Illinois. He was born August 5, 1941 to Alice (Larson) and George W. Pellant in Rockford, Illinois. Tom graduated from Rockford East High School, class of 1960. Throughout his career, Tom worked at Rockford Clutch and retired from Showtime Productions. Tom was a member of the Flatlanders Chapter of Muskies Inc. which works to promote research and conservation of muskellunge. He enjoyed being out on the water, fishing, and waterskiing. Tom was also very involved in cars and drag racing. He was a big sports fan, especially for any Chicago team, as well as any sport his friends or family were involved in, from elementary school to college level.

Tom is survived by his siblings, Bob (Brigitta) Pellant of Punta Gorda, Florida, JoAnn Johnson of Jefferson, Georgia, Sandra (David) Anderson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Candy (John) Wolf of Cherry Valley, Illinois, Mark (Laurie) Pellant of Rockford, Illinois, and sister-in-law Lorraine Denov of Des Plaines, Illinois. Many nieces and nephews, including great and great-great nieces and nephews, many cousins including Curt Gustafson, and special friends the Nichols Family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Pellant, nephew Steve Pellant, brother-in-law Terry Johnson and friend Steve Cerutti.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, 12pm-2pm, with a prayer at 12:30pm. Private burial on Friday, January 5, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Breast Cancer Awareness, or the charity of your choice.
