Susan K. Strawbridge

Susan K. Strawbridge, 75, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, January 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 18, 1949 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Albert and Eudora (Parker) Clarke. Susan married the love of her life, Jimmy Strawbridge, on May 20, 1967 in St. Louis, MO. She was employed by Top Die Casting prior to retiring. Susan enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She loved traveling with Jimmy. Most of all, Susan adored being with her family.

Susan is loved and missed by her children, Carrie (Michael) De Schepper and James (Jacki) Strawbridge; grandchildren, Alissa and Dane Strawbridge; sisters, Carol Greer, Sandy White and Vicki Gonzales; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy; daughter, Candie Doyle; sister, Barbara Marek and Robin Clarke; and brothers, Rick and Steve Clarke.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., Friday, January 10, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 A.M. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
