Ronald E. Torrisi

Ronald E. Torrisi, 81, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was born July 25, 1941 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Alma Nelson and Alfred Torrisi. He married Karen Kuntzi on March 5, 1960 in Nashua, Iowa. Ronald was employed at ACME Precision Grinding and Chrysler, Belvidere, Illinois until he retired in 2020. He was an avid fisherman and bowler.

Survivors include children, Gary Torrisi, Jennifer (Rick) Jackson, Ronald Torrisi, Jr., Amy (Anthony) Parrinello, James Torrisi; grandchildren, Joshua, Christie, Shaun, Ian, Salvatore, Angelo, Andria, Skyler; several great grandchildren; siblings, Sandra (Tom) Burt, Earl Torrisi; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Torrisi, Patricia Torrisi,and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; wife, Karen; son, Michael Torrisi; siblings, Daniel (Gloria) Torrisi, Robert "Bobby" Torrisi, Samuel "Dick" Torrisi, Jack Torrisi, Douglas (Kathy) Torrisi, William "Billy" (Pat) Torrisi, Barbara (Pete) Ivers, Patricia (Jim) Citta, Marjorie (Bill) Patterson.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park with a visitation from 1:00 PM until time of service. Inurnment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used in Ronald's name at a later date.
