Robert E. Zierfuss

Robert E. Zierfuss, 60, passed away at home April 2, 2010. Born November 16, 1949 in Richland Center, WI, the son of Harley and Lillian (Johnson) Zierfuss Sr. Married Betty List April 16, 1977, she preceded in death September 19, 2008. He worked for Barber Coleman (T.A.C), J.I Case and Dyna Burr. Bob was a Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan, he enjoyed time with family and friends and socializing at Rocky’s. Survivors include his brothers Harley (Janet) Zierfuss Jr. of Beloit, WI, James (Christy) Heal of Henderson, NV, sisters: Linda (Chuck) O’Dell of Leesburg, FL, Elaine Young of Woodruff, WI, Sandra (Ray) Corey of Rockford, IL; brother-in-law Joe Stepanek of Antioch, IL; step-brother: Duane (Kathy) Winchell of Dodgeville, WI, Donald Winchell of Boston, MA; step-son Loy (Sandra) Rice of Loves Park, IL; step-daughters Angela List of Machesney Park, Betty Rice of Ada, OK, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, family and friends; two special childhood friends Ronnie (Kathy) Roth and Gary (Kathy) Neely both of Boscobel, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, step-father Oscar Winchell, sister Betty Stepanek, brothers: David Delaney, Jack Zierfuss, David Winchell and brother-in-laws Kenneth Anthony and Harvey Ashmore. Memorial services will be 10:00 am Friday, April 16, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115. A family gathering will be from 9-10:00 am Friday.
