Robert Krysa

SERVICE DATE CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER, PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON: Robert "Bob" Krysa, age 80, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Robert was born in Chicago, IL on May 4, 1942 to Michael and Helen Krysa. In 1960 Bob graduated from Foreman High School in Chicago, Illinois. Four years after graduating, Bob joined the United States Army and served for two years until being Honorably Discharged in April of 1966. Anyone who knows Bob, knew him as the mailman. He retired from the Post Office after over 25 years of employment. Bob was involved with the Foresters for over 55 years, holding many positions including officer, treasurer, chief ranger, and President. He was a board member for The Friends of the Handicapped Children. Bob enjoyed model trains and spending time with his family and his two dogs.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara Krysa; children, Michael (Teri) Krysa, Bob (Lynn) Krysa II, and Donna (Mike) Zielinski; grandchildren, Samantha (Derek), Sabrina (Tommy), Paige, Emily, Zachary, Holly, and Jacob; nieces, Jaclyn and Natalie; nephew, Joey; many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Helen Krysa; sister, Mikki.

Burial to take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Friends of the Handicapped Children.
