Robert L. Andrew

Robert “Bob” L. Andrew, 84, of Rockford passed away October 30, 2010 peacefully with his granddaughter and niece by his side. Born July 6, 1926 in Chile, WI, the son of Lewis and Pearl Andrew. Married Wanda Mae Taylor on November 3, 1951 in Woodstock, IL. She preceded him in death in 1994. Bob retired from Sundstrand after 35 years of service. He was an avid bowler who bowled a perfect game in the 80’s. He loved the Packers and Ford Mustangs and he enjoyed racing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bob leaves many memories to Cherish with son, Robert A. Andrew, granddaughter, Emily Penticoff, special niece, Trenna (Jeff) Calhoun-Lyons, sister, Arlene Lord, special friend, Guinevere Funk, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Brenda, Sandra, Lisa Andrew, and one brother. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Passages Hospice, 929 S. Alpine, Rockford.
