Richard Macias

Richard Manual Macias, 81, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on December 5, 2021. He was born on December 1, 1940 in Rockford, to Marjorie and Manual Macias. Richard was a deeply devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family and his friends deeply and was a constant source of support for those he loved. Richard was a man of many talents, and enjoyed dedicating his time to learning new things. He was a member of a chess club, astronomy club, judo, and billiards. He liked to perform sleight of hand magic and could do card tricks and coin tricks, and loved to make others smile in amazement. He married the love of his life, Beverly on November 15, 1961, and together they shared 2 children and 55 years in marriage. He will be deeply missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Mark (Kathleen), Mardy, Elyce, Reece; grandchildren, Nicole, Richie, Macie, Maximus; great grandchildren, Alexia, Ava, Raelyn, Kaine, Ashton, and Avery; brothers, Charles(Sue) and Danny(Charlette); and cousins Minnie and Petra, he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members whom he loved dearly.

He is predeceased by his wife; Beverly, and his parents Marjorie and Manual, as well as his brother Michael.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northern IL Hospice in memory of Richard.
